B.C Young Birder Award!

Hello,

I have just learned that I have won the B.C Young Birder Award. Now I am one of 5-7 Young Birders to win this award, but I that I am only the 2nd to do it so far in the Okanagan.
Now I admit birding has been an after thought for a long time in the winter. I am doing school inside, being sick, ski racing on weekends, and participating in races... but, I think that if I start paying more attention to outside, I will get into the spring feeling of birding again! Man I can't wait for spring..!!
I want to mention someone whom has been a great inspiration in birding for me! His name is Logan Lalonde. I have known him for 4 years now, he started me off by saying these 1st words to me:
Me:"Look a woodpecker"
Logan:"Actually that is a Northern Flicker"
On that correction, curiosity triggered this new passion of bird-watching to discover more and more birds. I have found this a great thing and he is always there to correct me, take me on birding trips, discuss sightings in the Central Okanagan, play basketball, and be a great friend. He is a very experienced birder and is only 16!

Thanks Logan!!

Cheers
